In 2013 Vaani made her film debut in Shuddh Desi Romance, a romantic comedy movie with Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput. It was a critical and commercial successful movie which earned kapoor many award including Filmfare Awards for the Best Female Debut.
